Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at waxedby@untamedradiance.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Your safety comes first. We follow strict sanitation and disinfection protocols in line with Maryland state board regulations. All tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned then disinfected between each client, single-use items are properly disposed of after every service, and treatment areas are sanitized before and after each appointment.

We also wear gloves during every wax or facial and ensure a fresh, hygienic setup so you can always relax knowing you’re in a clean and safe environment.

Waxing consistently slows hair growth, and when the hair grows back it comes in finer and sparse, Shaving cuts your hair it doesn't remove your hair-so the quantity and thickness remain the same. Unlike shaving, which can cause stubble, irritation, or razor bumps, waxing gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it soft. Ingrown hairs are more common when shaving and can be painful and long lasting. Other forms of hair removal are Electrolysis and

Laser which isn't always effective for everyone and as a result people are still having to wax. Compared to laser or electrolysis, waxing offers flexibility, it works on all hair types and skin tones, requires no downtime, and is perfect for anyone not ready for a permanent method or with lighter hair that doesn’t respond to laser.

Waxing is a great balance between results and convenience

We recommend that you come in between 3-4 weeks for the best result. However, everyone is different and some results may vary resulting in longer periods in between waxes.

Absolutely not. That practice is both unsanitary and against state regulations. At Untamed Radiance, we follow the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism. We’re proud to follow all laws and sanitation protocols to ensure every client receives safe, clean, and high-quality care. You’re always in trusted hands here.

There may be mild discomfort, especially if it’s your first time, but our goal is to make it as gentle  and comfortable as possible. We use high-quality wax, soothing techniques, and proper skin support to minimize pain. Over time, as you wax regularly, your hair grows back finer and waxing becomes much easier.

Regular facials help support your skin’s natural renewal cycle and overall health. The skin typically renews itself every 28–40 days, and professional exfoliation, deep cleansing, and hydration during a facial help remove buildup that can clog pores and trigger breakouts.

For acne-prone or congested skin, consistent facials assist in regulating oil production, reducing bacteria on the skin, and preventing inflammation — all key factors in acne formation. For dry or dull skin, facials boost circulation and replenish moisture levels, enhancing the skin barrier and promoting a radiant, balanced complexion.

When paired with a tailored home routine, facials don’t just make your skin look good temporarily — they strengthen it over time by improving cell turnover, product absorption, and barrier function.

Every 4 to 6 weeks is ideal to maintain a healthy complexion and stay on top of your skincare goals. Regular facials help remove buildup, unclog pores, and promote long-term skin improvement.

Your skin naturally renews itself every few weeks, so getting a facial about once a month helps keep it healthy, glowing, and balanced. Regular treatments work with your skin’s natural cycle to gently clear buildup, restore moisture, and keep your complexion smooth and radiant. If you’re working on goals like acne, dryness, or uneven texture, coming in a little more often at first (every 2–3 weeks) can help your skin reset and start showing results faster. After that, monthly visits are a great way to maintain your glow and prevent future concerns.

Think of facials as investing in yourself and with consistency you’ll see lasting results over time.

Yes, the HydraFacial is apart of my Facial list as “The IT Treatment”. A HydraFacial is a treatment that uses a handheld Vortex-Fusion device to deliver dermabrasion, hydration, exfoliation, and cleansing of the skin. The device penetrates the skin with beneficial serums to remove skin damage. The most common side effects include: Redness, this side effect usually occurs in individuals with sensitive or reactive skin.
